Three top Hollywood stars will be visiting Kenya’s best tourist spots for three days. The three Tony Jaa, Michael Jai White and Ron Perlman are on an Africa tour to publicise their action movie, Skin Trade.
The group is also traveling with film and TV producers, Howard Klein and Craig Baumgarten and arrived in Nairobi on Monday. Their ten-day trip through Africa will see them start in Nairobi and the Masai Mara at the Olare Mara Kempinski, then on to Kigali, Rwanda where Kempinski recently took over the famous Hotel des Mille Collines, and the tour ends at Djibouti Palace Kempinski later next week.
On Mashujaa day, Villa Rosa Kempinski hosted the stars at an invite-only event where they got to hang out with the A-list acts of the Kenya film industry and members of the media.
The event included the screening of the official trailer of the upcoming film Skin Trade. The stars officially announced the April 2015 release in Kenya of the action-packed thriller about two detectives from opposite sides of the globe going after an international human trafficking ring. The highlight of the event came at the end when actor Tony Jaa, the world’s top Muay Thai/Muay Boran expert, wowed the crowd with a masterful martial arts demonstration which included a precision kick reaching 2.5 metres up in the air.
