The youth group which stated their commitment to ensuring that a youth assumes office of the governor of Imo state come next year, added that it was high time youths with credible track records and competence were given the opportunity to re-engineer the state and bring succor to its citizens.

According to him: “It is no longer news that since the inception of this present democratic dispensation in the country, Imo state has continued to wallow in its quest towards finding genuine and purposeful leadership, and I want to make it known to all of us that we would continue to beat about the bush in search of true leadership until we do the needful.”
“To effectively actualize this, Imo state needs a man devoid of any political blemish; a man of international repute and a man who is acceptable by all, irrespective of any political or zonal inclination.
“We sincerely believe that he would be a unifying force against any political interest which had pitched some of us against our fellow brothers and sisters.”
